Policy of contributions and moderation

Boscastle Sound

“Boscastle Sound” is published online for those living in and around the village of Boscastle, Cornwall. It contains articles and material from various organisations within the village as well as other items that the moderators deem of interest. All residents are keenly encouraged to contribute material for inclusion.

Contributions

Material submitted should be geographically relevant to the Boscastle area. By submitting your material, you grant us permission to edit and publish it, in whole or in part.

This site is not a forum for airing grievances or pursuing vendettas. Please do not submit any material that is threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, offensive or for which you do not have the relevant copyright or other permissions.

We will include or exclude contributions at our discretion and we will not publish any material that is submitted anonymously.

Items relating to a promotion of an event or activity of a business or organisation for profit will be considered if written in article form.

Moderators

A volunteer team of moderators review and publishes the material online in accordance with our contribution policy.

A moderator can be any resident with a PL35 post code.

A moderator can only publish third party content; a moderator is unable to publish their own material.

Appeals to the moderation

If you concerned about any material that has been published on this site but which you deem to be in contravention of our policy, please contact us by email contact@boscastlesound.co.uk. The relevant piece will be reviewed by 3 moderators and a decision to continue to publish or withdraw will be made and no further correspondence will be entered into.
