A free cardiac screening event for young people is taking place in Wadebridge this spring, offering an important opportunity for early detection of heart conditions.
Organised in partnership with Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), the screenings are designed to identify undiagnosed heart conditions that can sometimes go unnoticed. The tests are simple, non-invasive and can provide both reassurance and, in some cases, lifesaving early diagnosis.

📅 Dates: Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May 2026
👥 Eligibility: Anyone aged 14–35
This screening event has been funded in memory of Matthew Dewhirst, helping to raise awareness and support young people’s heart health.
Families are encouraged to consider booking appointments for teenagers, older students, siblings or young adults who may benefit.
