- Cornwall Councillor Mark Burnett: Community Hall and Village Hall CIL application unsuccessful due to oversubscription. Pothole numbers continue to fall. Community Highways Improvement Programme (CHIP) discussions ongoing. Cornwall Council encouraging councils to develop Neighbourhood Priority Statements. Future CAP meeting to focus on Emergency Planning. Update given on North Cornwall rail link aspirations and Cornwall housing projects.

Meeting Items
- Biodiversity / Rewilding: Online survey launched regarding Paradise Triangle and biodiversity management across the parish. Around 40 responses received so far. Results to be reviewed at the June meeting.
- Car Park – Toilets: No further update.
- Highways: Potholes in New Road repaired. Repaired wall at Newbridge damaged again.
- Community Emergency Plan: Draft plan progressing well following feedback from Cornwall Council and CCFF. National Grid and Volunteer Cornwall providing support and information. Plans underway for a community awareness event and emergency hub arrangements. Backup generator for EE mast progressing under planning application PA26/02231.
- Website & Communications: Council telephone number successfully transferred. Additional options being explored for voicemail and emergency handling.
- Play Area: Monthly inspection satisfactory. New multi-play equipment installed and well received. Existing rocker locations to be altered. Council investigating installation of a rubbish bin near the play area.
- Castle Site: Monthly inspection satisfactory. Bin emptied regularly.
- College Transport: Cornwall CAP gathering evidence regarding gaps in school and college transport provision. Council supported ongoing work on the issue.
- Works Around the Village: “Left-hand side” agenda item renamed to Paradise Triangle Copse for clarity.
- Community Centre: Funding fully secured and works nearing completion.
- Riverside Walk: Draft letter prepared regarding maintenance responsibilities for riverside areas. National Trust permissions secured for additional benches and mowing.
- Bus Shelter: Cleaning partially completed; contractor given final opportunity to finish work.
- Council Documentation Review: No additional updates.
- Cornwall Council has postponed the Public Realm Improvement Project pending further consultation.
