Join the Monumental Improvement team for a range of medieval themed activities and explore the history of Bottreaux Castle.

The team plan for an in-depth exploration the of this fascinating site and encourage you to bring with you any archaeological finds you may have discovered to find out more about them! The site has recently had a geophysical archaeological investigation as part of their Monumental Improvement project. The ‘Show and Tell’ walks throughout the day will reveal more alongside the onsite Historic Environment Record Team who can help you find out more about the heritage on your doorstep anywhere in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The Monumental Improvement project has been developed to nurture heritage in Cornwall’s protected landscape. It focuses on providing a more supportive future for 40 Scheduled Monuments which will soon be lost forever if they do not receive urgent care.
