Hosepipe Ban in Cornwall to be lifted
South West Water can confirm they are on track to lift the hosepipe restrictions in Cornwall and Upper Tamar on 25th September following the wet period over the Summer months. The situation for Devon which is under a temporary usage ban continues to be monitored with conditions said to be improving.
Cornwall would have been in a ban for over a year with the ban coming into force on 23 August 2022 where it saw water levels drop to only 16% capacity. Taking their decision today, 22nd August 2023, Colliford reservoir is at 56% full which is comparatively more than the reading of 38% this time last year.
