Last Friday 8th September, a fabulous 80’s disco rocked the Village Hall. It was held in aid of Bowel Research UK whose CEO, Lynn Dunne, lives in the Village. The DJ was Geoff Squires who arranged a fantastic collection of music for the evening.
Organised by a few of us, we were pleased when so many turned up dressed in their best 1980’s finery for the fancy dress competition. The bar was busy, the dance floor full and thank you to everyone who helped us to raise £1036 on the night. Put together with the “Bums on Bikes “ event held at The Engine Room on August 24th, £1300 has been raised for Bowel Research UK whose aim is to fund research to find a cure for bowel disease and bowel cancer.
