It has been reported that sadly the annual charity Halloween display at Trethevy is no more. Citing family and health reasons the organiser has pulled the plug on this, and future, events. The mammoth, free, display had become quite a feature in the area (and wider!) with its huge number of static and anamtronic creatures and scenes – always a delight to see.
In 2022, the event raised £1,760.38 for Dementia UK and in 2023 £3,028.43 for MS Society UK. IN 2024 the chartiy, chosen through a poll on Facebook, would have been for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
The organiser is offering their entire stock of 25 animatronics plus displays, props and equipment in the hope that someone else can take up the baton in future and keep the event going.
