There seems to be a lot of concern on social media last night about the presence of two Coastguard Rescue helicopters and lifeboats out along the coast of North Cornwall until the early hours of the morning.
Boscastle Coastguard Team confirmed today that this was due to an overdue kayaker. They are pleased to report the kayaker was spotted in the early hours of the morning near Boscastle, and all was well, with the kayaker was left to go on his way after some advice.
This involved Boscastle and Bude Coastguard teams, RNLI lifeboats and two Coastguard helicopters.
