The third ‘Boscastle Shanty Festival’ is going ahead at the Cobweb Inn on Friday 8th November through until late on Sunday 10th November. The event will raise funds for Cornwall Hospice Care, KD-UK as well as other local organisations in the Boscastle and surrounding areas.
Over the last 2 years, we’ve raised around £20,000 from these festivals. There will be a raft of Shanty bands every hour from 12 noon each day until 9.45 pm and then a traditional Cornish shout occurs in the main bar. Our local village primary school children will be performing on the Saturday.
The festival involves lots of singing, fun, merchandise to purchase along with a fantastic auction and raffle of generously donated prizes. Food and beverages also available to purchase, no ticket required for entry. As it also falls on Remembrance Sunday, there will be also be chance to recognise this special day.
