Public Participation
Thirteen members of the public attended, primarily to express concerns about revisiting the Geothermal Power Plant planning application (PA23/10067). It was noted that until the Secretary of State decides whether an Environmental Impact Assessment is required, Cornwall Council will not make a decision. One member raised issues about the impact of double yellow lines on Tintagel Road at Potters Lane. Another expressed interest in the Paradise Triangle discussion.

Correspondence
- Boscastle Street Lighting: Feedback to Cornwall Council regarding lighting changes dismissed. A response will be drafted expressing the Parish Council’s frustration.
- Overgrown Vegetation on Old Road: Confirmed as not privately owned; contractor engaged for clearance.

- Chairman’s Report: Concerns raised about a football club setting a precedent by allowing dogs on the playing field. A letter will be sent outlining these concerns.
- Cornwall Councillor Report: Updates on Shared Prosperity Funding, online council meeting proposals, and increased council tax allowances for larger councils.
Meeting Items
- Highways: Pedestrian route sign replacement approved. Data capture setup for Slaughterbridge radar sign continues.
- Street Lighting: No agreement on dimming or alternative switch-off timings; discussions ongoing.
- Play Area: Inspection revealed no significant issues, but wear was noted on wooden posts. Replacement matting under the seesaw is progressing, and quotes for new tables and benches are awaited.
- Car Park: Boscastle CIC is awaiting a response from Cornwall Council on devolution options.
- Castle Site: Knotweed treatment has begun in the meadow area. A monthly inspection noted tipping activity on-site.
- Annual Parish Meeting: A proposal to expand the format to include an MP, community discussions, and a Q&A session was accepted in principle.
- Works Around the Village: Shrub trimming at Paradise Triangle to continue, with consideration to expand biodiversity areas. Vegetation on Old Road and other affected areas will be addressed with a contractor.
Additional Updates
- Clerk Remuneration: National pay award accepted.
- Neighbourhood Policing: Concerns raised about rural crime handling in Boscastle, with plans to invite the section inspector for a briefing.
