The Riverside in Boscastle was filled with the sounds of laughter and festive joy on Monday, 16th December, as the annual Over 70s Christmas Lunch brought together local residents for a traditional meal with all the trimmings. The event, which has become a cherished community tradition, was made even more special by the generosity of those who attended, raising an impressive £285 for Cornwall Air Ambulance.
The Riverside team worked tirelessly to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, serving up a delicious festive feast to over 70s from the village. Guests were treated to free transport provided by the Boscastle Community Minibus, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the festivities regardless of mobility or travel concerns.
Donations were entirely voluntary, but the community’s support was overwhelming, reflecting the spirit of giving that defines this time of year. Every penny raised will help Cornwall Air Ambulance continue their vital work, providing lifesaving services to people in need across the region.
