From the ancient astronomical monuments of our Neolithic ancestors to pioneering astronomers like John Couch Adams. Adams was one of 2 people who independently discovered the planet Neptune using mathematical calculations.
Cornwall has 2 International Dark Sky Areas: Bodmin Moor and West Penwith.
CNL’s Monumental Improvement team host a free evening stargazing walk on Friday 25 April, exploring the unique archaeology of Bodmin Moor.
The International Dark Sky Landscape team from Caradon Observatory will guide the walk. They’ll have some powerful telescopes on hand and plenty of tips for you on how to read the skies.
