Local democracy is at the heart of community life, and on Thursday 1st May 2025, residents of the Camelford & Boscastle Electoral Division will head to the polls to elect their next Cornwall Councillor.
To help you make an informed choice, we’ve invited all four confirmed candidates to share a short piece introducing themselves and outlining their priorities for the area. These contributions give you a chance to hear directly from those hoping to represent our community at County Hall.
The candidates standing for election are:
- Mark Burnett – Liberal Democrats
- George Hitchman-Smith – Green Party
- Barry Jordan – The Conservative Party Candidate
- Mike Robins – Reform UK
Each candidate has been offered the opportunity to submit up to 500 words, which will be published ahead of the election on Boscastle Sound.

🗳️ Don’t forget – you’ll need valid photo ID to vote in person. Postal votes will be issued from mid-April.
