Feeling blue? Feeling bored? Sure there’s more to life than housework and the telly? Why not come along to one of our meetings and meet a bunch of very friendly women and enjoy whatever we have on the go that evening? It might be craft, it might be cookery, or flower arranging, it might be a speaker on something interesting and relevant, or it might be a party.
The Mowesi Marshgate are a small but perfectly formed WI with lovely friendly members from not just Marshgate and Tresparrett, but Camelford, Laneast, Davidstow, Tintagel and Boscastle…
We do a lot of fun things, not just the monthly meetings, but trips and outings, regular meet-ups for coffee and chat, and a summer garden party every year. We go to shows (two of our members won trophies in the Royal Cornwall Show this year) and if you are a bookworm, why not visit our telephone kiosk in Tresparrett, which has been repurposed as a book swap?
The Mowesi (Cornish for “girls” and pronounced mo-WEZZY) meet on the second Thursday of the month at Marshgate Hall, 7pm from March to October, and 2pm in the winter months (no August meeting). Just come on in…we don’t bite!
