Members of Forrabury, Minster with Trevalga Parish and the churches throughout the Benefice are excited about our new Rector, Rev Simon Faulks, who joined us officially just four weeks ago on 1st September. After a long search, which included representatives from all 12 churches, the decision was made and Rev Simon, his wife Gill and children moved into the Rectory on Forrabury, Boscastle.
What he hopes to achieve is best described by Rev Simon himself:
Greetings from the Rectory
Hello, let me introduce myself. I’m Simon Faulks and I’m the new Rector of the Boscastle Benefice (group of 12 churches). I started here on 1st September and am still working on getting my head around things and catching up with what needs to be done after a year without anyone in this role! We are also looking to the future and how, as the church, we can best serve the communities in which we are based.
I am married to Gill and we have 3 grown-up children. I enjoy photography, circus skills and illusion and have a strange fascination with telephone boxes!
