- Cornwall Councillor: Public consultations underway on the Let’s Talk Cornwall website, including Dogs on Beaches and Attitudes to Ageing. Cornwall Plan roadshows taking place across the county.
- Chairman: Neighbourhood Policing Team will be present in the village on Monday 13th October, 12:00–14:30 using the mobile police station in the car park

Meeting Items
- Car Park – Toilets: Ongoing vandalism: paddle gates being damaged due to being forced. A cubicle lock failure caused someone to become stuck. CIC members (Cllrs Hockin and Edwards) were granted dispensation to speak and vote.
- Highways: B3266 resurfacing postponed until the new year. Foliage clearance required between Cloverlane Close and Tintagel Road, at the War Memorial, and near village noticeboards. Clerk to arrange works. Request made to paint a yellow bus stop box at Doctors Corner to stop cars blocking buses.
- Civil Emergency and Contingency: Community Emergency Plan nearing completion; question raised about how and when to activate it. Safeguarding policy now in place as requested by Cornwall Council Emergency Management Team. No further updates regarding mobile communications (EE).
- Website & Communications: VoIP line details shared. Number can be ported with minimal disruption. Voicemail to email supported. Would allow mobile and app-based call handling with voicemail audio sent via email.
- Play Area: Monthly inspection passed. Cllrs Bridges and Peyman removed broken glass and rubbish left after an impromptu party. Rockers and bench to be reinstalled by contractor.
- Castle Site: Monthly inspection: bin one-third full, otherwise satisfactory. Interpretation board to receive new support post to replace one showing signs of splitting.
- Village Works: Castle site picnic bench is being repaired and relocated.
- Playing Field – Dog Fouling: Environmental officer reports no significant issues.
- Community Centre: Funding from the Cornwall Levelling Up Programme (CLUP) has been secured, and part has been received. The council supported the related planning application for solar PV and replacement windows.
- Riverside Walk: NT meeting follow-up: a draft plan is in development.
- Parking – Old Road: CCllr Burnett shared a highways response: no immediate action, but changes may be considered in the future.
- Remembrance Day: Awaiting confirmation from the church regarding a service at Forrabury Church.
- Budget Preparation: Councillors were asked to consider projects or amendments ahead of 2026–27 budget planning.
- Council Documentation Review: Clerk to link Safeguarding Policy and Procedure documents, and insert lead contact information.
