Cornwall’s young people are being invited to step forward and make their voices heard in the next Cornwall Youth Council elections.
Open to anyone aged 11 to 18 who lives or goes to school in Cornwall, the Youth Council brings together young people from across the county to represent their peers, share ideas and influence real decisions. The council includes elected members, youth parliament representatives, peer mentors, associate members and a communications team.
This year, 18 geographical members will be elected to cover the whole of Cornwall, with voting taking place early in 2026. Candidates have until 23 November 2025 (midnight) to register their interest and will then take part in workshops to help shape their goals and campaigns.
Taking part offers a chance to:
- Champion issues that matter to you and your friends.
- Gain confidence and leadership skills.
- Help shape the future of services and opportunities for young people in Cornwall.
