As part of the upcoming B3266 resurfacing works (scheduled 12–23 January 2026), Cornwall Highways has confirmed that additional drainage improvements will be carried out at the bend near the culvert between New Bridge and Doctors Hill.
Three new surface water ramps will be installed to help channel rainwater into existing drainage pipes on the culvert wall. These works aim to reduce surface runoff and flooding that can affect Fore Street and Dunn Street during periods of heavy rainfall.
The resurfacing and drainage improvements form part of the Cornwall Council’s wider maintenance and flood prevention programme for this section of the B3266.
