‘Tis the season to be merry…and a session making beautiful mistletoe twigs with crepe paper, beads and wire certainly fitted the bill when the Mowesi Marshgate got together for their November meeting – the last before their Christmas party.
The WI’s very talented secretary Nicky Ormerod actually spent her birthday afternoon teaching us this craft, amidst a lot of giggles, chatter and fun, and members were all very pleased with their results, which can be hung on the Christmas tree or even used as a decoration on the cake.
Members also admired the Social Media Trophy we received last month at the county Annual Council Meeting for our creative and extensive use of social media to keep members connected and informed, and hopefully attract new members.
The Mowesi meet every second Thursday in the month at Marshgate Hall, at 7pm in the summer and at 2pm in the afternoons from November to February – why not come long and meet us?
