A representative from the Primary School raised concerns about staff parking following the sale of the Methodist Chapel. A representative from Tintagel Parish Council suggested exploring whether the Community Emergency Plan could operate across a wider geographical area. One member of the public spoke regarding planning applications PA25/08588 and PA25/08589, providing an overview and answering councillors’ questions.

- Cornwall Councillor Mark Burnett: Cornwall Council faces a further £13 million reduction in funding, contributing to a projected £150 million shortfall over three years. • Feedback is being gathered on how communities coped during Storm Garetti, particularly around mobile communications failures. Around 4,500 potholes currently recorded across Cornwall. Consultation open regarding increased production at Davidstow Creamery. “Healthy Rivers and Sea” summit taking place online on 27th February.

- Car Park – Toilets: Awaiting confirmation from Cornwall Council regarding timing of their financial contribution. Parish Council submitted response to the Parking Order consultation, suggesting charging hours revert to 10am–5pm.
- Highways: Missing bollards to be replaced; Clerk to arrange.
- Civil Emergency & Contingency: Three posters created to encourage sign-ups (vulnerable residents, equipment owners, general awareness). Only eight volunteers have come forward so far. Cornwall Community Flood Forum has suggested possible funding for a satellite phone. Ongoing concerns about mobile communications resilience following storm-related power outages.
- Website & Communications: Clerk and Cllr Hitchman-Smith progressing required updates for compliance and reviewing potential telephone/VOIP suppliers.
- Play Area: Monthly inspection passed. Site clearance planned ahead of installation of new play equipment.
- CIL Funding Application: Trustees of the Community Centre and Village Hall exploring a joint Expression of Interest to Cornwall Council’s CIL Fund (Round 5).
- College Transport: Concerns raised about removal of direct transport from Boscastle to Truro College, requiring families to travel to Wadebridge (approx. 16 miles). Cllr Costello has written to Cornwall Council outlining the impact on students and families.
- Community Champion: Three nominations received. Cllrs Yates, Anderson and Edwards to meet and bring a proposal to Council.
- Annual Parish Meeting: Scheduled for Thursday 26th March 2026.
- Community Centre: Additional £9,375 CLUP funding awarded. Building works progressing.
- Riverside Walk: Meeting with National Trust expected in coming weeks.
- Bus Shelter: Local cleaner to provide quote for initial and ongoing cleans.
- Grass Cutting 2026: Contractor’s price accepted.
- Street Maintenance: Weed clearance in residential areas to be repeated this year.
- Neighbourhood Priority Statements: Deferred to next meeting.
