We recently held our annual celebration dinner. We are all volunteers and it’s not often that we get the chance to all come together to celebrate our achievements.
We selected the The Wellington, Boscastle as the venue and were very pleased with the recently refurbished surroundings. The quality of the meals and attention to service were second to none.
Our guests of honour were the wife of our first Station Manager and another founder member of the team who recounted the amazing efforts to launch the station in 2002/2003.
Our guest speaker was the infamous “Mini” Fry, who has spent his lifetime saving lives as a lifeguard on Bude’s beaches.
We presented Watchkeeper qualification certificates and several long service awards.
It was a very enjoyable evening, a perfect way to celebrate our contribution to the Search and Rescue community in the region.
