South West Water has written to nearby residents advising of planned essential works on Dunn Street, Boscastle, which will require a temporary road closure and the suspension of the one-way system.
The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 10th August 2026 and are expected to last for four days, taking place each evening between 7:00pm and 11:00pm.
To allow the work to be carried out safely, the road will be closed outside April Cottage towards the Community Centre, while the one-way system will be suspended between The Olde Stables and the Village Hall.
A signed diversion route, agreed with the local highways authority, will be in place to help direct traffic around the closure.
South West Water says the emergency services have been notified of the works, along with local bus operators, schools and refuse collection services. The company has apologised for the disruption and says every effort will be made to complete the work as quickly as possible while keeping inconvenience to residents, businesses and visitors to a minimum.
